Bramaterra

The Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) "Bramaterra" includes two types of wine: red and riserva.


Grapes

The red and riserva wines are composed of 50% to 80% Nebbiolo, a maximum of 30% Croatina, and up to a maximum of 20% Rare Grapes and Vespolina, present alone or combined.


Physicochemical and Organoleptic properties

The red (minimum total alcoholic strength by volume 12% vol.) has a garnet red color with orange reflections, the smell is characteristic, intense, slightly ethereal as you age. The Riserva version (12% vol.) has a garnet red colour with orange reflections, the aroma is characteristic, intense and slightly ethereal, the taste is full and dry, velvety with a pleasant bitterish and harmonious background.


Grape production area

The production area of Bramaterra is hilly, protected by Monte Rosa and characterised by the presence of acidic, superficially fertile, porphyry soils.


Specificity and historical notes

The wine-growing tradition in the Bramaterra area dates back to the early 1900s, and the link with the territory, although young, remains deep. The favourable microclimate, the deep-rooted tradition and the rich pedology combine to make Bramaterra a product of undoubted quality.
