Strevi

The "Strevi" Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) identifies a white Passito wine. It is provided the possibility of production with indication of vineyard.

Grapes

"Strevi" wine is produced in purity, using only grapes from vineyards composed of 100% white Moscato grape.

Physicochemical and Organoleptic properties

The "Strevi" is golden yellow in colour, with different degrees of intensity and the possible presence of amber reflections. The olfactory notes reveal a broad and characteristic odour, which is accompanied by an equally typical, sweet and harmonious taste, in which the predominance of ripe fruit sometimes emerges. The minimum total alcoholic strength by volume is 20% vol.

Grape production area

The production area is limited to the municipality of Strevi only. The territory used for the cultivation of the vines is characterized by a clayey-marly and calcareous composition.

Specificity and historical notes

One of the main characteristics of "Strevi" is undoubtedly its longevity: even after several years it preserves the typical scents of the territory in which it was born. The best bunches are selected for production, which are then left to dry for up to 40 days, both in the sun and indoors (in a fruit cellar).
