Roddy was born in England and has lived in Asia for the past 27 years. He currently resides in Japan where he has lived and worked for a total of 12 years since 1990. He was formerly Managing Director of Christie’s Japan based in Tokyo and helped organize their successful wine auctions there in the late 1990’s. Before returning to Japan in 2016 he was a wine importer (Wellspring Wines, Hong Kong), Educator (AWSEC, Hong Kong) and writer (Hong Kong Tatler.com, Arts of Asia magazine). He is currently studying for the Master of Wine exams. He is also a VIA Ambassador.
