Physicochemical and Organoleptic properties

The red version (minimum total alcoholic strength by volume 12% vol) has a ruby red colour, with slight orange reflections when aged, the aroma is vinous when young, and ethereal and rich in bouquet when aged; the flavour is dry, warm, with a slightly bitter aftertaste and tannic; the rosé (12% vol) on the other hand has an intense coral pink colour; the aroma is vinous and persistent; the flavour is dry, velvety with a slightly bitterish aftertaste.
